Lori Boswell, Publisher of The Medical Bulletin and owner of Black Ink Media, LLC
Boswell is a management professional with 20 years’ experience in project and operations management, business development, marketing, strategic planning, manufacturing engineering, and contract negotiation/management. She holds a bachelor of science in industrial engineering from the University of Alabama. After working for corporations including MasterMind Technologies, Marsh-McBirney, Inc., and Hughes Aircraft, Boswell founded her own contracting and design firm, where she headed up project design and management, sales and marketing, and management of various subcontractors. Black Ink Media, based in Frederick, Maryland, is her latest business venture.
Cathy L. Walker, Editor of The Medical Bulletin
A newspaper reporter/photographer and freelance writer with 30 years experience, Walker is an award-winning humor columnist and poet who continues to write under the name Cathy Drinkwater Better. Previously a production editor for Cadmus Professional Communications, working on medical journals, she has also served as editorial director for Ottenheimer Publishers, Inc., an international book producer. She continues to freelance, under her pen name, publishing articles, features, photos, and poetry for children and adults in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Japan, Australia, Romania and elsewhere; and is the author of more than 30 books to date, including numerous books for children. In addition, she pens a regular humor column for The Westminster Eagle and The Eldersburg Eagle. She and her husband, Doug Walker, own Black Cat Press, which produces books by individual poets as well as anthology collections.
